
Job Purpose
The Legal Records Coordinator is primarily responsible for coordinating and processing of California Workers Compensation litigations files. This position is accountable for managing the lien calendar for court, withdrawing liens, serving notices, and supporting all tasks related to successful records coordination related to the litigation files.
Duties and Responsibilities
- File Liens in California through Edexis
- Create manufacturers invoices
- Run ADJ’s CaseWatch
- Process Edex Hearing Notifications, to include entering information in PCMS, scanning to patient portal and distribute to the assigned Account Settlement Representative.
- Review Power BI EDEX report for new Initial billing to run Edex to see if file is litigated – receive ADJ#’s.
- Assist in Managing Lien Calendar for Court
- Remove cases from Edex Casewatch after lien resolution withdraw lien on EAMS.
- Manage Secondary Bill Review Process to include reviewing of all EOR’s/EOB’s
- Create Manufacturer’s Invoices when requested
- Assist team members with research of documents when needed for collections
- Review what SBR’s have been done and what need to be done
- Upload SBR’s that need to be completed to SharePoint for the turnaround team to complete the SBR process
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school Diploma or GED required
- Must be available to work in the office Monday through Friday
- Must be proficient in Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must have exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, able to prioritize and manage a high volume of files
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Must be able to work and communicate respectfully with other departments
Physical Requirements
This is a position that requires frequent sitting or standing, repetitive wrist motions, grasping, speaking, listening, close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. It also may require occasional lifting, carrying, walking, climbing, kneeling, bending/stooping, twisting, pulling/pushing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching above the shoulder.
