Paralegal
Job Type: Full-Time or Part-time
Schedule: Mon-Fri (some flex remote available)
Salary $75,000 per year+
A small boutique law firm in Las Vegas, NV (Henderson Area), has an immediate opening for an experienced business and real estate litigation paralegal. Candidate must have excellent knowledge of State and Federal Court filing systems, local rules and standards, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules, procedures, etc. Additionally, the candidate must fit in with the existing tight-knit culture of a team of 4.
This is a position with billable requirements. Experience with tracking hours and daily reporting hours is required.

Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred
- Paralegal certification is preferred but not required
- 5+ years of paralegal experience in a law firm
- Experience in both business and real estate matters
- Experience in both transactional and litigation
- Skilled in litigation, particularly e-discovery
- Must pass all required pre-screening
Litigation experience required
- Court staff communications and submissions
- Assist with drafting/redlining changes to correspondence and documents, including proofing and filing complaints, motions, discovery, pleadings, responses, and other filings/online case documents via Odyssey and Pacer;
- Issuing subpoenas, coordinating depositions, and handling initial and supplemental disclosures
- Research a wide range of factual and legal issues and gather evidence
- Initial review and summarize discovery, upload, coordinate, and search in e-Discovery platforms such as Disco
- Coordinate multiple office functions: maintaining motion/pleading deadlines, calendaring, and scheduling court-reporters, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations.
- Ability to work independently without Counsel oversight
- Circulate documents to the involved parties/outside counsels for review or comment
- Initial Drafts of all business and real estate documents leasing, residential, commercial, licensing landlord/tenant, purchase and sale agreements
- Business documents: LLC/Corp. formation, buy-sell and other owner-to-owner documents, non-competes, NDAs and confidentiality agreements, employment and 1099 agreements
- Maintaining paper and electronic client and document database
- File Clark County Recorder via Simplifile; Business formations via Silverflume for NSOS, EIN submissions to IRS
- As needed, assist with office duties (answering phones, assisting clients, etc.)
