Paralegal - Family Law

Paralegal - Family Law - Part-Time, Remote (10 hours/week)

We are seeking a dedicated part-time Family Law Paralegal to support our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of family law discovery processes and the ability to review discovery materials for completeness and accuracy. Familiarity with handling Financial Declaration documents and Marital Balance Sheets is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare various legal documents for the attorney;
• Track deadlines and monitor tasks using MyCase;
• Alert the attorney to upcoming deadlines to ensure nothing is overlooked;
• Conduct research on family and divorce law cases;
• Assist the attorney in preparing for hearings and trials;
• Proactively seek opportunities to offer assistance.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Paralegal Studies (or equivalent experience in Family Law);
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal in a family and divorce law firm (Required);
• Experience with MyCase software (Required);
• Proficiency in Excel, with at least 3 years of experience with handling Marital Balance Sheets (Required);
• Experience with e-filing (Preferred);
• Strong communication and research skills;
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively;
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and task completion, with a strong ability to anticipate the next steps without waiting for direction.

• $30.00 per hour
