Position Summary
The Real Estate Paralegal will work under the supervision of the Paralegal Committee and assigned attorneys to assist with a broad array of commercial real estate, corporate, and financing transactions. This role involves preparing, reviewing, and organizing legal documents and due diligence materials, coordinating closings, and interacting with government agencies and third-party providers to ensure the successful execution of complex legal matters.

This role involves preparing, reviewing, and organizing legal documents and due diligence materials, coordinating closings, and interacting with government agencies and third-party providers to ensure the successful execution of complex legal matters.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain detailed closing checklists and closing documents for real estate, financing and corporate transactions.Â
- Facilitate transaction closings, create and distribute electronic and physical closing binders, and provide comprehensive support throughout the closing process.
- Draft and organize documents including mortgages, closing certificates, UCC financing statements and amendments, deeds, mortgage tax affidavits, releases, and title documents.
- Draft and revise corporate formation documents such as articles of incorporation, shareholder/director resolutions, and related materials for attorney review.
- Review title commitments, surveys, and related documentation; coordinate directly with title companies and surveyors to resolve issues and ensure accuracy.
- Conduct due diligence reviews, manage and compile due diligence materials, and coordinate all aspects of document collection and organization.
- Interact with local, state, and federal government agencies to research and retrieve legal documents, and facilitate the filing and recording of transactional documents.
- Support attorneys in preparing articles, presentations, and publications where appropriate.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) OR Associate’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant legal experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 5 years of directly related experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Familiarity with commercial real estate transactions, title/survey review, and corporate filings.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills with acute attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities, including the ability to draft and revise legal documents with precision.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, regulatory agencies, and business professionals.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
