Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Paralegal to support our legal and operations teams. The ideal candidate will have experience in contract law, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance—ideally within the security, government contracting, or service-based industries.
Key Responsibilities
•
Draft, review, and maintain service agreements, NDAs, subcontractor agreements, and vendor contracts
•
Support legal compliance related to licensing, insurance, and employment regulations across multiple states
•
Conduct legal research on applicable laws, particularly in the security and labor sectors
•
Assist in responding to subpoenas, incident documentation, and litigation support
•
Maintain legal files, contract management systems, and renewal calendars
•
Liaise with external counsel, clients, and internal departments to support timely legal processes
•
Monitor updates in laws impacting private security firms (e.g., labor laws, liability coverage, industry regulations)
•
Support insurance claims, audits, and internal investigations as needed
Qualifications
•
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies or related field (Paralegal Certificate preferred)
•
3+ years of paralegal or legal assistant experience; experience in the private security or service industry is a plus
•
Strong knowledge of contract law and legal documentation standards
•
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities
•
Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal document management systems
•
Familiarity with state-specific licensing and employment requirements in the security industry is a plus
Preferred Attributes
•
Experience supporting multi-state operations or high-liability service industries
•
Understanding of client/vendor contracts in security or facilities management
•
Familiarity with regulatory bodies such as the Department of Labor, state Private Security Boards, and Department of Consumer Affairs
