Dinsmore is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant at our Cincinnati, OH location who will support multiple attorneys/paralegals primarily in connection with all phases of trademark protection and enforcement.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Completing electronic filings
  • Communicating professionally and in a timely manner with clients
  • Carrying out billing
  • Proofreading, editing, and formatting contracts, spreadsheets, other reports and transaction related documents
  • Managing docketing
  • Coordinating travel arrangements, time entry and other legal support functions

 

Requirements

 

  • Excellent writing, grammar, proofreading skills, and meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent word processing skills and intermediate-level use of Microsoft Office Suite, .pdf editing software, and related legal software, including attorney timekeeping software and electronic document management systems
  • Familiarity with basic online resources
  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills, and ability to multi-task
  • Proven success as a positive team player, as well as an independent worker.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid work history including 3-5 years supporting multiple attorneys/paralegals is preferred
  • Experience in trademark and copyright clearance, prosecution and transactional work is preferred
  • Experience with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office is preferred
  • Overall knowledge and understanding of domestic and foreign procurement process for patents and trademarks is preferred
  • Ability to review and communicate docket to attorneys/paralegals, and effectively report to several professionals is preferred
  • We seek candidates that are self-directed, highly motivated, and have advanced computer skills
