Job Overview:
The Paralegal Manager will report to the Head of Legal Operations and is responsible for overseeing and managing the paralegal team within the Legal & Government Relations department. This role involves providing leadership, training, and support to paralegals and case teams, ensuring the team provides high-quality legal support services, and manages paralegal workload and productivity. The Paralegal Manager will also work closely with attorneys and other team members to facilitate legal research, document preparation, and case management.
The position will be located in our Fort Mill, SC office.
Responsibilities
Lead a team of high-functioning paralegals who support Litigation, Arbitration, and third-party subpoena matters.
Supervise, mentor, and train paralegals on best practices, legal research techniques, and case management.
Create a collaborative team environment that encourages professional development and teamwork.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to paralegal staff.
Allocate and manage paralegal workloads to ensure timely and efficient completion of assignments.
Develop and implement best practices and standardized procedures for legal support services.
Review the quality and accuracy of paralegal work, including legal documents, contracts, and case files.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Work closely with attorneys to understand their needs and assist in case preparation.
Participate in legal strategy meetings and provide input on legal matters.
Design and conduct training sessions for paralegals on legal concepts, technology tools, and compliance requirements.
Stay abreast of industry trends and updates in legal practices to enhance the team's knowledge base.
Maintain accurate records of paralegal activities and deliver regular updates to senior management.
Prepare reports on team performance, workload, and other metrics as required.
The Legal Operations Group plays a crucial role in the success of Legal and Government Relations (“LGR”) at LPL. The paralegal teams in Legal Operations are instrumental members of LGR’s case teams providing assistance with case management, document preparation, research and analysis, client and witness coordination, and other support functions.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in legal studies, paralegal studies, or a related field; paralegal certification preferred.
5+ years of experience as a paralegal, with a minimum of 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
Experience in a corporate legal department or law firm environment is desirable.

Pay Range:
$82,688-$137,813/yearActual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
