Job Description

Paralegal

This position performs paralegal work for attorneys within the Office of the General Counsel’s Corporate Legal Department. The work involves varied and complex legal tasks, including legal research, legal document preparation and review with a heavy emphasis on contracts and technology.

  • Interface with attorneys and business unit (“BU”) internal and external clients and vendors. Contacts are frequently inter-organizational and outside customer/vendor interactions.  Part of a team who represents the organization. Monitors activities and communicates information across the organization.

  • Prepare and deliver contract memorandums to internal business units and other personnel on behalf of Office of the General Counsel (OGC).

  • Review and address in-coming attorney correspondence and monitor assignments through their life cycle.

  • Prepare and review contracts for accurate dates and signature blocks and supporting documents.

  • Review Statement of Work (“SOW”), Professional Service Agreements (PSA's) and various other tech and/ or corporate contracts for content and make necessary edits under the direction of the business leaders and attorneys.

  • Maintain and update contractual records, matter management systems and all related file handling.

  • Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure contractual obligations and deadlines are met.

  • General administrative support of office functions, including but not limited to general correspondence, preparation of standard agreements,

  • Assist in factual investigations, compilation of data from various resources

  • Must be an excellent team player with the ability to take on additional tasks as needed and provide coverage for other members of staff as necessary.

  • Work includes a variety of tasks ranging from routine to those calling for judgment and some independent initiative.

  • Work requires the ability to independently prioritize tasks and meet deadlines as set forth by attorneys and management.

  • Routine assignments must frequently be accomplished with minimum supervision or error.

  • Manage attorney calendars including scheduling meetings through Teams and Outlook. Resolve calendar conflicts when necessary. 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s Equivalent combination of education and experience typical of
  • 1-3 years of corporate paralegal experience required 
  • Excellent organizational, writing and communication skills required 
  • Meticulous attention to detail required 
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and handle multiple concurrent projects required 
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information and exercise discretion required 
  • High level of professionalism, excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment required 
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint required 
  • Proven ability to achieve high service quality results as well as meet productivity levels

The starting pay range for this position is:

$28.19 - $37.55
