Job Description

  • Aids multiple Assistant United States Attorneys (AUSA).
  • Examining, preparing and processing a variety of technical legal documents, e.g., complaints, motions, orders,

answers, pleadings, and subpoenas.

  • Providing assistance to attorneys in trial preparations.
  • Assembling trial exhibits, affidavits, discovery in various formats, and other legal documents.
  • Assembling and organizing files and records materials for disposition or transfer to records depository.
  • Maintaining calendar of assigned active cases.
  • Tracking filing, hearing, and trial dates, and scheduling conferences and interviews.
  • Arranging travel by preparing itinerary and securing transportation and hotel reservations.
  • Producing a variety of written documents and materials using a wide range of office software applications.
Requirements

Must be able to obtain and maintain Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) facility credentials/authorization. Note:

US Citizenship is required for MRPT facility credentials/authorization at this work location.

  • Requires paralegal certificate, or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school, having completed at least one

year of study. One year of legal training or legal experience or at least two years of college education may be

substituted for the paralegal certificate. Additionally, at least one year of litigation paralegal experience or project

experience (as related to the task order) is required

  • Requires excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge and hands-on familiarity with a variety of computer applications, including word processing, databases

(such as document review and file management systems) and spreadsheets.
