Job Description

Van Der Hout LLP is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support our dedicated team of attorneys and paralegals. Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys and paralegals, including managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and handling correspondence with precision.
  • Assisting with high-volume data entry, monitor and calendar deadlines, prepare legal documents, conduct client intake and phone screenings, file court documents, opening new cases, and maintaining organized file systems. 
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with clients to ensure a positive experience.
  • Collaborate with the team on various office-related tasks as needed to enhance overall operations.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of administrative experience preferred, with a strong preference for candidates with law firm experience.
  • College degree preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient or advanced knowledge of Adobe Acrobat.
  • Familiarity of LawLogix and Centerbase a plus.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in Spanish a plus.
