Harris Beach’s Business and Commercial Litigation practice group is in search of a high performing, legal professional with a cooperative, positive, and flexible attitude! You will THRIVE in this role if you have:

  • Minimum 3+ years’ legal experience in general litigation practice areas
  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree (preferred), paralegal certificate (preferred)
  • Experience with MS office and expertise with computer assisted legal resources (i.e., HPED, MFED, Relativity)
  • Sound judgment and a sense of accountability for working independently and proactively
  • Exceptional oral and written communication, including excellent spelling, grammar, punctuation, form, and style
  • Excellent multitasking and time management abilities
  • Superior client service and listening skills for anticipating needs of clients and attorneys

 

The Paralegal will be responsible for managing documents associated with administrative proceedings and civil litigation involving firm clients.  Do you have the DRIVE and DESIRE to:

  • Prepare trial exhibits, exhibit lists and other documents as required for trials
  • Assist with document review and production
  • Provide file maintenance requiring substantial familiarity with digital filing and retrieval
  • Organize and maintain deposition summaries and trial notebooks
  • Track documentation and procedural developments in numerous proceedings, often using Excel or other document management tools
  • Periodically purge and organize files in litigation war room
  • Communicate with in-house and/or local counsel for client(s) regarding proceedings, their status and developments

Salary information below will vary depending upon relevant experience for the position, geographic locations and weekly hours schedule. The anticipated weekly schedule for the Paralegal in Rochester is 38.75 hours per week.
