
The Ohio Attorney General’s Office has played a vital role in shaping Ohio’s past and present and the work it does today helps chart the state’s future. The office consists of nearly 30 distinct sections that advocate for consumers and victims of crime, assist the criminal justice community, provide legal counsel for state offices and agencies, and enforce certain state laws. In these and other capacities, staff members interact with tens of thousands of Ohioans each year.
The Ohio Attorney General's Office is currently seeking candidates with a passion for public service to fill a Collections Supervisor position in our Collections Enforcement Section. This position will work a hybrid in-person/remote schedule. There may be changes to this schedule based on training and operational needs. The headquarter location is 30 E Broad St. Columbus, OH. The successful candidate will perform the following supervisory duties while fostering a team environment, which include, but are not limited to:
-Supervises and trains assigned staff.
-Conducts staff meetings.
-Performs monthly phone monitoring and reviews.
-Assists team members with difficult callers and/or accounts.
-Monitors team workflow and assists in work distribution.
-Establishes work procedures and employee performance goals.
-Evaluates record keeping policies and procedures and makes recommendations for improvements.
-Prepares records and reports.
-Works with Information Technology Services (ITS) to troubleshoot issues with business tools.
-Handles sensitive contact with the public.
-Handles varied public relations duties.
-Performs other duties as assigned.
Completion of Associate's degree in Business, Accounting, or related area or equivalent work experience;
Previous supervisory or Team Lead experience;
Proficient with Microsoft applications (e.g., Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a call center environment;
Previous experience with reporting;
Previous experience in a collections or legal environment.
Job skills: customer service, attention to detail, leading others, teamwork, verbal communication, and written communication
