Position Summary
The Paralegal Studies Program in the Political Science Department of the IU Indianapolis School of Liberal Arts invites applicants for a non-tenure-track Clinical Assistant Professor position to begin August 2025 in our American Bar Association-approved program. Applicants must have earned a J.D., be licensed to practice law in at least one state, and willing to obtain and maintain an active law license in Indiana. The successful candidate must have experience working as or supervising a paralegal. The position requires lower- and upper-level undergraduate courses be taught in paralegal studies, given the expertise of the candidate and needs of the program. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the scholarship of teaching through presentations or publications and will have an initial teaching appointment of 6 courses per academic year. Service and legal professional engagement are also required, as appropriate, and will include significant administrative responsibilities related to maintaining ABA approval.
