Job Description

Speaks Law Firm believes that our team members are the driving force that makes our firm successful and brings value to our clients. We are looking for an experienced Personal Injury Case Manager (Paralegal) to join our Wilmington office.  Candidates must have at least two (2) years of experience working with high value claims specific to personal injury.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Maintain frequent and effective communication with attorneys, clients, insurance adjusters, and other professionals to discuss assigned cases or projects
  • Coordinate and obtain functional capacity exams, opinion letters from providers, and economic reports for clients as assigned or deemed appropriate
  • Research and analyze statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources; provide written analysis to attorneys
  • Interview clients and witnesses and prepare summaries of their statements
  • Prepare, organize, store, and retrieve case files, which may include evidence, exhibits, depositions, pleadings, exhibits, and other items
  • Monitor and document client’s medical treatment
  • Send requests for information including medical records and billing
  • Organize and maintain client files
  • Prepare and file general correspondence, e-mails, demand packages and other exhibits into Neos Case Management Software
  • Understand subrogation liens and disputing unrelated charges
  • Complete balance sheets accurately reflecting Rule 414 payments/adjustments
  • Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and other health insurance portals
  • Other duties as assigned
 Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree or higher preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required
  • Two (2) years of experience working with high value claims specific to personal injury.
  • Paralegal certificate a plus
  • Passion for advocating for our clients and maintaining a positive attitude required
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required
  • Intermediate computer skills required, Needles/Neos experience a plus
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with clients and colleagues
  • Must be able to work on-site from 8:30am to 5:30pm Mon-Fri
Compensation:
The is an exempt salary position and is eligible for an incentive plan. Competitive salary range depending on experience and qualifications.
