Job Description

Dunlap Bennett & Ludwig (DBL) is seeking an entry level Immigration Attorney in our Florence, KY office. The ideal candidate must have a strong desire to do immigration law for businesses. This position will handle the preparation and filing of employment-based immigration cases.  

We are seeking a self-motivated with a strong interest in assisting with business immigration matters. While prior immigration experience is not required, it is preferred.  We are committed to training the right candidate who is eager to learn and grow as an immigration attorney.  

 
Job Requirements: 

  • The ideal candidate will have experience with preparing immigrant/non-immigrant petitions with in-depth knowledge of the application process and requirements, specifically in EB1, EB2-NIW, PERM, I-485, L-1, O-1, or other non-immigrant visas.  

  • Familiarity with H1B petitions, other visas, and asylum cases. 

  • Knowledge in U-Visas, VAWA, waivers (including I-601A, I-601, I-212), and for business, TN Visas (Canada and Mexico).  

  • Supervise and conduct complex legal research and analysis. 

  • Capable of day-to-day case management. 

  • Communicate and work with local counsel. 

  • Coordinate case and legal strategies 

  • Manage various projects and deadlines 

  • Prepare, and revise documents 

  • Explain legal language to clients 

  • Research unique legal issues by identifying applicable statutes and judicial decisions 

  • Keep abreast of legislative changes that may affect immigration  

  • Develop solutions to complex legal questions 

Qualifications: 

  • We seek an individual who is driven, possesses a desire to develop and invest in their careers and the Firm, and demonstrates superior client service skills. 

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. 

  • ANY US state bar admissions accepted.  

  • Commitment to abiding by local, state, and federal laws and behaving ethically. 

  • Strong critical thinking, interpersonal, and communication skills. 

  • Attention to detail and commitment to excellence. 

  • Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills. 

  • Candidates applying should have outstanding academic credentials, comparable law firm experience, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
