Position Summary:
The Paralegal is a legal professional who provides comprehensive paralegal support to the General Counsel and the Legal & Compliance departments. The Paralegal will provide a variety of tasks, including research, document preparation and client interactions.
Major Responsibilities:
- Draft corporate resolutions.
- Prepare simple contract amendments.
- Update standard documentation such as investment management agreements.
- Prepare AML and KYC documentation.
- Organize and manage document retention process.
- Participate in the new client onboarding process.
- Implement changes to fund offering documents.
- Prepare annual corporate filings and liaise with corporation service providers.
- Liaise with parent company for corporate organization reporting.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for drafting documents and interacting with clients, and other internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize work and manage time efficiently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Adobe.
- Five years of experience in a paralegal/corporate secretarial role preferred.
An associate degree in paralegal studies, a bachelor’s degree in another field, or a paralegal certificate from an accredited program required
