This position provides a variety of legal assistance and administrative support services to approximately 19 attorneys and Office of Legal Affairs (OLA) management team. Duties include assisting with case creation, tracking, court dockets, court preparation and legal files; preparing legal correspondence, pleadings, motions, petitions for commitments, recommitments, and guardianship for state facilities to be reviewed by attorneys; proofreading and formatting documents; entering invoice information into database; and reception duties.

Qualifications for this Career Opportunity
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Acute attention to details, time management, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of legal terminology and legal cite checking.
- Meet minimum qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent and two years job-related college or vocational training.
- Four years administrative support experience in legal settings including experience with pleadings, legal terminology, and filing processes with various court systems.
- Equivalent combinations of directly related education and experience may be considered.

Additional Information
This position may be eligible for a statutory $1.00 an hour increase to the base pay effective July 1, 2025 and July 1, 2026.
